Emergency Dental Visits in Tulsa, OK

Dental emergencies do not come with a warning and happen when you least expect them. There are many reasons why you may want to bring your little one for an emergency dental visit at our clinic – root canal, chipped teeth, knocked-out teeth, to name a few. The instances such as swollen gums, bleeding from the gums or teeth, accident, injury, wisdom teeth require immediate medical attention.

How Can an Emergency Dental Visit Help?

  • An emergency dental visit may provide your child toothache relief and oral pain relief, thus saving them from excruciating pain and swelling that they may be experiencing.
  • An emergency dental visit is helpful during an emergency tooth extraction.
  • We carry out an immediate dental restorative procedure to restore a loose filling and provide them with a temporary solution.
  • Emergency dental visits are helpful during dental infection and provide immediate infection care.
  • You may bring your little ones to our clinic for the treatment of broken wires or brackets during orthodontic treatment.
  • Wisdom teeth extraction is also a dental emergency that we address timely.

What Happens During an Emergency Dental Visit?

  • Examination and Diagnosis

We will carry out a visual examination and also discuss your child’s dental concerns. We will consider their medical history, and if required, also perform an X-ray of their teeth and gums. After diagnosis, we will plan their treatment.

  • Anesthesia

Before starting the procedure, we will numb their teeth with an anesthetic so that they may not feel pain while dealing with the dental emergency.

  • Treatment

The type of treatment we choose depends upon the dental emergency. For instance, if they have lost their filling, we will restore it with a new one. In case of a loose tooth, we will attach it. If their braces break, we will set them properly. We also treat their tooth decay by removing the infection. If the dental emergency is pulpitis, we will treat it with a root canal.

  • Medication

After discussing their medical history and the nature of the emergency, we will prescribe suitable medication. It includes painkillers to help them with pain management. If your child is suffering from a severe tooth infection, we will give them medicines to fight such infection.

  • After Care

We will advise on the after-care after the emergency dental treatment to speed up their recovery. It includes following proper dental care, using ice packs, painkillers, and abstaining from certain eating habits. A regular follow-up is highly suggested so that we may monitor their healing.
